VT Accounts Suite vs Taxfiler

Hi Everyone

I have been looking at getting some software to prepare accounts and came across VT Accounts Suite which is pretty good for the price but it does not allow you to file returns with it. I then came across Taxfiler which allows you to file returns and it produces accounts as well. The only downside to it is that it is not a bookkeeping package like VT but you can download the VT Cashbook for free.

Seems pointless to buy them both but was wondering what other people have done?

Thanks

The accounts look pretty decent through the demo site. Still has all the tagging etc.

How much are they? Couldn't find a price on Firmzen before.

Tax filer is good for tax but in my opinion awful for accounts.
I'm not a fan of VT as it doesn't fit with my way of working but it's better than taxfiler. VTT+ is good though

For PM I recommend Glide. Like most PM software it takes some setting up but it works really well. Prices start at £39 + VAT per month.

    Thanks Berg.

Any decent ones for around £15 a month? Don't have enough clients to justify that price.

With 15 clients do you really need PM software? A good excel spreadsheet may be enough until your pratice grows and you can justify investing in proper PM software?

Perhaps. It's just annoying that you can get cheap tax and accounts software but not PM.

Capium does PM software @ £25mth for up to 100 clients.

I don't use it though having only trialled the CapiSign app within it which I liked.
