Has anyone heard anything about criminal checks coming in at the end of June? New AML regs?

I've not heard of that until now.
Speaking of DBS checks, I've never had one run on me, for any accountancy job.
Suppose this new extra check will cost, I think they're flawed for all but the most serious of crimes.0 -
just done a quick search and couldnt see anything. previously DBS have been carried out for those working with children and vunerable persons I have not heard of them being carried out in finance. fee from memory was £80 but that was a little while ago0

Are criminal record checks not performed by the DBS? I was under the impression this was the new Government department.
CRB being old school.
Yes granted there are different levels, top level for working with children and vulnerable people. Standard showing cautions and convictions. Basic showing convictions only.0
