AAT or ACCA

Hi,

I started a college course this week which got sold to me as AAT level 2. But on first day we got told that they no longer provide AAT level 2 or level 3 and now have started to do ACCA level 2.

I would like to know what is the difference between the two course ....is one better than the other .......the tutor told us that the new course we will be doing is equivalent to aat level 2 .the course is called "Foundations in Accounting" and we would need to complete FA1 Recording Financial Transactions & MA1 Foundations in Professionalism module to get INTRODUCTORY CERTIFICATE IN FINANCIAL AND MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTING....

any thoughts please or guidance please as most jobs i have seen want aat, so dont want to waste my time.
