I finished my AAT level 2 last year now doing Level 3. Can I run my own book keeping business. Can someone help?

Have you had any experience with bookkeeping/accounts before?

I worked as bookkeeping assistant over a year. Currently looking for ways to run my own business. As far as what I figured out from aat website. I have to have a licence to operate.

My advice would be not to try and run before you can walk. Realise that people have very unrealistic expectations of bookkeepers... If someone comes to you and says "can you do my books?" what they often mean is "can you do my books and tax returns", which you most certainly won't be equipped to deal with.
If your intention is to set up a business where people come to you with bags full of receipts, a badly written sales book and a couple of bank statements and want you to produce numbers that make sense then jump right in!1 -
