Hello
Does anybody knows if doing Audit with AAT gives you an exemption from audit on ACCA?

No it doesn't give you that exemption (but ACA does).0

You only get exempt from F1 - F3 (3 exams): http://www.accaglobal.com/uk/en/qualifications/accountancy-career/aat-acca/ACCAQualification.html

Yes, you should get around 4 exemptions
There is even a AAT-ACA fast track programme were you can qualify in as little as 2 years

Is it too late for you to do level 3 now? Sounds crazy that I'm even asking the question!0
-
It's not worth doing Level 3 exams now because I would need to do 3 exams to get an additional 2 ACA exemptions.0
-
I'm sure those 3 AAT exams would be quick and easy though.0

Yes but I still have to pay ICAEW the fees for the credits (exemptions), so it would work out more expensive (but easier as you say).0

I have actually done all AAT levels and picked Personal Tax, Business Tax and Audit, so technically I would get 5 exemptions from ACA... But I wanted to do ACCA, which is why I dont like the fact that ACCA gives you less exemptions...0

@adam144 I did those options as well but luckily I am doing ACA so I get the exemptions, however I am doing the ACA-CTA joint programme under a level 7 apprenticeship so i have to do 4-5 more exams so still a lot of work ahead of me.

Give with one hand and take with another
AAT Level 2&3 - 2016
AAT Level 4 - 2017
Personal Tax, Business Tax and External Auditing
ACA/CTA -
Certificate Level - Jan 20190 -
oo? Does that mean you get ACA and CTA at the end? Have you got any links to this course content? Who are doing the apprenticeship with? Is it Kaplan?0
-
Yes you get both but it will take about 3-4 years with the exemptions but I think it's worth it.
The link to kaplan is financial.kaplan.co.uk/TRAININGANDQUALS/ACCOUNTANCY/ACA(ICAEW)/Pages/ciot-aca-joint-programme.aspx
However the ICAEW information is better.

With the apprenticeship, you have to complete an end of training assessment ( which is like an essay on what you have learnt) and you have to have 20% off-the-job training, which can be job shadowing, classroom courses, etc. But it does mean that your employer can either use there apprentice levy or only pay 10% of the course cost (about £1900).
Kaplan sent me a sample timeline for the ACA-CTA apprenticeship which i have attached below.
AAT Level 2&3 - 2016
AAT Level 4 - 2017
Personal Tax, Business Tax and External Auditing
ACA/CTA -
Certificate Level - Jan 20190
