ASSISTANT/JUNIOR ACCOUNTANT/BOOKKEEPER

PERSON SPECIFICATION:
• Part Time – 3 days per week negotiable, including flexible working
• Part qualified AAT or similar and actively studying
• Would suit someone with an active interest in Interior Design

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Natalia Miyar Atelier is an interior architecture and design practice based in Chelsea (SW10) with luxury residential projects in London, Miami and New York.
We are looking for a highly organised Junior Accountant/ Bookkeeper with good attention to detail.
The candidate will also have the oversight and mentoring of a Qualified Accountant.

PRIMARY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
• Processing invoices
• Preparation of Payment runs
• Expense claims / Petty cash
• Credit card purchase processing
• Reconciliations
• Supplier queries on financial matters
• Maintenance of stock and asset registers
• Reconciliation of Balance Sheet accounts
• Maintaining & Improving accounting processes

OTHER AREAS SUBJECT TO EXPERIENCE:
• Monthly management reporting assistance
• Assist with Year End and contractual compliance
• Assist with VAT returns
• Assist with Payroll

REQUIRED SKILLS:
• Have strong written and verbal communication skills
• Must be detail-orientated and proactive with a positive, team player mentality
• Exceptional prioritisation and time-management
• Be flexible and reliable
• Highly motivated
• Have a hands on approach with strong initiative skills and ability to multi-task
• Have the ability to research, analyse and interpret general business autonomously

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
• At least part qualified in AAT or similar papers
• Passes in basic level Accountancy Papers I.e. Know how to prepare journals
• Basic level of understanding of Excel and other MS office software

Position is negotiable with regards to working pattern, remuneration and currently is for the equivalent workload of 3 days per week.
