Accounts payable 6 month fixed term

Hi all, I've been offered a temp contract in accounts payable, just wondering if this is a good role to take up, will 6 months be long enough to apply for other roles, as most entry positions seem to want AAT level 3 and two years minimum experience.
My plan would be to do AAT level 2 or 3 and fund it myself while I work.
I would be leaving my current permanent job in finance/bank admin for this position, so a gamble.
