Wearing a black suit, white shirt, and black tie for men

Apart from going to funerals, can the above combination of clothes be on on any other occasions?

    Weddings, funerals, high-class dinner parties, formal job interviews, appearances in court...

    Basically, any event that's likely to require formal attire in order to fit in. :)

    Also if you're one of the Men In Black as @AAT_Team suggest, but we don't talk about that in case we get...

    It's very unusual in Europe to wear that combination outside of funerals.

    However if that's what you enjoy wearing then by all means go ahead.

    It's basically what I wore to every job interview ever (well, except I prefer to wear blue shirts). Unless maybe interviewers rejected me because they felt I was dressing too formally or something... :P
