Bookkeeper / Accounting Technician

Job Summary:
You will be responsible for the day- to - day bookkeeping for various companies. From yoga classes to healthy eating products and coffee outlets; from internships to creative production you will have the opportunity to gain an insight into a huge variety of companies.
Responsibilities and Duties
• Inputting data from bank statements into accounting software
• Processing invoices, bills and receipts in accounting software and spreadsheets
• Managing Credit control
• Reconciliation
• Administrative support
• Filing of documents
• Checking that accounts are accurate
Qualifications:
• Good computer skills (especially with databases and financial software)
• Competent in MS Office especially Excel
• Knowledge of online accounting software preferably Xero
• At least Foundation Level Bookkeeping or Accounting
Skills:
• Handling sensitive and confidential information
• Research into systems and processes
• Liaising with clients
• An ability to work quickly and accurately
• To be honest, discreet and trustworthy
• An eye for detail
• Highly organised
• An ability to work to deadlines
The hours can be flexible assuming all deadlines are met, this creates a good work/life balance. The role gives the chance to learn more about accounts as well as the general running of business’. Starting rate is £12.50/hour with the opportunity to come on to full time salary-based contract.
