ACCA modules - advice on study order?

Hello all!
I qualified as MAAT a little while ago and decided to concentrate on my work for a bit, but am intending to start my ACCA studies at a local uni when their course opens up for new intake at the start of February. I've read a few pieces of fairly general advice on what order to study ACCA modules in, but wanted to ask if anyone here who has gone on to ACCA has any advice based on their own specific experiences.
Since the uni I'm going to go to only has two intakes a year, despite there being 4 exam sessions per year, I thought I might take the modules in pairs. If my job role has any bearing on the matter, I work in a small, privately owned accountancy practice, working as a combination of head bookkeeper, VAT manager, and limited company accounts support. Everything up to trial basically.
The advice I saw suggested the following route for F-papers:
F4 + F5
F7 + F8
F6 + F9
Both Strategic Professional exams
and then perhaps taking Adv Tax and Adv Audit as my two options.
Does this look like a sensible route/order to take, or would anyone advise different combinations instead? Would love to hear opinions and reasons for them.
In the meantime - Merry almost Christmas! ^^

@KoopaCooper
Thank you, determination and motivation is what I need most
I am planing on starting as self study as I did so far. How much is the college you have mentioned?
By the way the order in which you put the exams seems very sensible (yes I had a look awhile ago). Very conveniently all the Foundation exams are computer based, but Professional level is still writtenAAT Level 2. 2018 Distinction

Oooh, self-study? You're a better student than me - I'm far too easily distracted at home to attempt self-study again. (I did try it once - ended up wasting my entire course fee doing nothing but play videogames xD)
The classroom course I'm going to enrol in is at the University of Westminster, and the fees are per paper:
£500 for each of F1, F2, F3
£550 for each of F4-F9
£625 for each of the Professional papers.
(Not including exam fees, I think?)Accounts Executive, ғɪᴀʙ ᴍᴀᴀᴛ

Welp, I've paid my ACCA registration fee and I'm waiting for confirmation to pay for my exemptions. Then it's off to college in February! xD

The Plan seems achievable. SBL in professional stage may need all your time. I heard it is a big one as it replaced P1 and P3; the exam is 4 hours long as well. However, if you concentrate on completing the skills module first should help you plan the P paper later on. I am going Uni route as I wanted a degree as well ( I am no longer eligible for the Oxford Brookes program). I study full time and cover half of F6, F7 and F8 in Year 2 semester 1, the other half will be in Year 3. Y2 2nd semester is F4, Half F5 and half F9.0

Hi Guys,
I have recently done AAT level 3 and currently doing AAT level 4. I am planning to do AAT-ACA fast track right after AAT level 4. But what I am concerned about is 450 days of on Job training i.e. the part of ACA qualification with an ICAEW certified employer. I have 6 years of banking experience but that was in Customer service I dont have any previous accounting experience. How to get a job or a training agreement with an ICAEW certified employer??
I have applied to various accounting jobs but they all need experienece. Please help me and advise me how to get a job or training agreement for ACA without any previous experience in accounting field.

Hi @KoopaCooper , I will start ACCA on January 2019, and this will be my order of exams;
March 19 – F4 (Friday) & F6 (Tuesday)
June 19 – F5 (Friday) & F9 (Wednesday)
September 19 – F7 & F8
December 19 – P1
March 20 – P2
June 20 – P3 / P3 & P5
September 20 – P5 / P5 & P3
*Subject to change if I find any better order.
I read a lot about this on various forums and everyone recommends F7 & F8 together. Most people recommended to take F5 & F9 together.
Good luck in your studies and I wish you all best luck with the exams!Kind Regards,
