We are looking for an experienced bookkeeper/payroll clerk/accounts assistant to join our accountancy practice based in Sanderstead. Previous experience working in an accountancy practice is a distinct advantage.
We are a very long established 50 year old practice with an interesting and varied mix of small business clients all with one thing in common - they want us to do what we do best so that they can do what they do best.
Good organisational and communication skills (spoken/written) are essential in this role which will involve direct client contact working as part of our team in the heart of the practice.
You will be responsible for attending to clients bookkeeping, primarily using QuickBooks online, preparation of quarterly VAT returns, processing of payrolls and also preparing accounts to Trial Balance stage.
Planning towards, and meeting deadlines is an essential skill in our profession and working as part of the team to achieve those tasks is therefore a vital part of your work.
This is a long-term position and we will encourage the right candidate to truly make it their own, ultimately working with other trainee staff members as part of their own sub-team.
We are ready for Making Tax Digital which commences from 1 April 2019 and are QuickBooks Advanced Platinum ProAdvisors. Experience of QuickBooks is therefore advantageous although similar experience of Sage, Xero etc will make your skill set transferable.
We will support you in your development to acquiring QuickBooks Advanced Online ProAdvisor status as your success will become our success.
As well as using QuickBooks you will also be using Excel, Outlook and Iris Payroll Professional.
Ideally suited for a local, full-time candidate although a part-time role is possible and therefore working hours are negotiable.
Salary is completely dependent on ability and experience.
