Salary - Competitive in line with experience.

The successful candidate will report to the Assistant Accountant. AAT Level 3 is required as a minimum along with prior experience working in an account’s role. Study support is available.

An integral part of the team, the successful candidate will be predominantly responsible for assisting maintain an efficient and accurate accounting function for the company. Work will include processing large volumes of new business transactions, reconciliations, payment runs and other book keeping activities. Naturally the candidate must show proficiency working with numbers and calculations.

The role will consist of but is not limited to the following;

• Daily reconciliation of bank account and cash book
• Reviewal and processing of finance contracts
• Purchase/Sales ledger control
• Month end reconciliations
• Providing MI to the Assistant Accountant for them to produce the board packs
• Assistance with budgets for the company’s overheads
• Prepare cash flow forecasts to help the board make strategic decisions
• Review the Income Statement and Statement of Financial Position to create journals for accruals and prepayments
• Processing departmental journal to apportion costs to the relevant areas within the company
• Managing the fixed asset register
• Processing invoices
• Processing of daily payment run
• Assistance in the preparation of VAT returns
• Other Ad-hoc tasks as required

 Competent working with IT systems (Office 365, SAGE, in house systems)
 Willing to learn how the accounts team work from the ground up
 Organised and methodical in approach to work
 Comfortable implementing own processes/controls
