Hi everyone,
Just wondered how you are all setting up your nominal accounts. Do you just use existing accounts when entering opening balances and then edit them later?
Or are you altering the names of the nominals first and then inputting your opening trial balance amounts?
Just seems really messy doing the former way, and the gingr I can see it being easy to forget what exactly you are doing.

I do not use Sage, but I use different accounts software. Around 98% of the time the software has all nominals we need already there, however if I need to amend the nominal name or create a new nominal I tend to do this straight away so I dont get mixed up when I post everything. I don't think you will need to make many adjustments to nominals as I know Sage is quite good with these.Kind Regards,
