Rounding of calculation

Ahead of an exam next week and on behalf on my whole class I am trying to establish a definitive answer of how AAT view the rounding of calculations for marking exam papers.

Is VAT always rounded down, regardless of the decimal point? Or
Are all calculations including VAT rounded up or down depending on the decimal point?
