Could someone help with the interpretation of the new legislation regarding payslips.
If a shipping company pays a salaried employee an additional amount (£150 per visit) to attend the port (port call out fee) to see the vessel into port - would this need to show an hourly rate on the payslip now. Previously we have shown it as just the set amount £150 per visit. But with the new legislation, I'm not sure if we should be keeping time sheets and showing the hours actually worked? The amount to be paid will be £150 regardless of if they are there for 10 minutes or 2 hours and regardless of what day / time it is.
