Once you've balanced off the ledger accounts in preparation for the trial balance do you always put the balance b/d on the same side on the trial balance i.e. the balance is brought down on the credit side so you put it on the credit side of the trial balance and if its brought down on the debit side you put it on the debit side of the balance.
