Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join the dynamic global finance team who manage all accounting and tax requirements of the Pharo Management companies.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Processing purchase invoices and weekly payment runs
• Dealing with supplier queries
• Recording cash payments and receipts in QuickBooks
• Reconciling the bank balances in QuickBooks to the bank statements across multiple accounts
• Reviewing and booking credit card expenses in-line with company policy
• Maintaining the accruals and prepayments schedules and posting journals in QuickBooks
• Maintaining the fixed asset register and posting monthly depreciation
• Preparing and keeping up-to-date additional schedules and reports as required e.g. intercompany reconciliations
• Support the wider finance team with internal and external reporting and projects as required


Required qualities and skills:

• Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) accounting qualification
• Previous experience in a bookkeeping role – minimum three years
• Strong team focus with a willingness to learn
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality
• Diligent, proactive and uses initiative to prioritise work. Able to manage conflicting priorities and be flexible on timing as required by workload
• Ability to build relationships at all levels by building trust through consistent delivery, open and timely communication with senior management and peers
• Ability to anticipate potential problems and solutions in advance
• Experience with QuickBooks would be helpful
• Experience with expense management software such as Concur would be helpful
• Proficient IT skills – MS Word and Excel
