Assistant accountant – THG
We are looking to recruit an assistant accountant to support in a new division at The Hut Group. The role will require you to be based at our Manchester airport offices.
Job requirements:
• The Ideal candidate will be studying towards the later stages of AAT level 3 or level 4 and keen to progress onto further qualifications in the future.
• A good understanding of Microsoft Excel would be advantageous (V-lookups, Pivot and other functions).
• Proven experience within a fast-paced working environment, preferably in finance.
• Confident communicator.
This is a great opportunity for anybody wishing to start their career in accounting and would suit somebody with the drive and confidence to implement improvements and communicate with various stake holders within the division.
Job responsibilities:
• Reconciliation and analysis of general ledger control accounts.
• Month end accounting duties.
• Variance analysis – Actuals vs forecasted & budgets within revenue & costs.
• Assist with weekly forecasting.
• Assist in maintaining accurate balance sheets and asset register.
• Track Overheads and expenses.
• Other Ad hoc tasks as required and help dealing with queries from other finance teams.
