INDIRECT TAX - FUEL SCALE CHARGE

Hi,

currently doing some practice questions on Indirect TAX and a fuel scale charge question has come up, i do not understand it at all! can someone please explain this to me?

"A VAT registered business pays for fuel which is used by one of their employees for private purposes. The fuel scale charge for the employee's car for the quarter us £317.

Based on the above information complete the VAT return extract for the quarter to 31st March 2019."

the extract has two drop downs, one for "what amount should show in the VAT return?" and "Output/Input?"
