Job Title: Junior Accounting Associate
Salary: Dependent on qualifications, skills-set and experience
Location: London – West End
Reports to: Assistant Accounting Manager

Role Purpose
A Junior Accounting Associate is responsible for supporting the non live team with the day-to-day bookkeeping for clients. The role has a high level of exposure with the opportunity to progress to a role managing clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Raising sales invoices and processing receipts
• Credit control
• Processing purchase invoices
• Analysis and processing of expenses
• Payment processes
• Reconciliation of expenses, petty cash, bank accounts and credit card statements
• Processing payroll reports
• Commissions reporting
• VAT returns and EC sales reporting
• Completing month end reconciliations
• General support and assistance to the team
• Filing of documentation in paperless filing systems

Candidate Requirements
• Willing to commit to study for the AAT qualification upon successful completion of probation period
• A proactive approach to tasks - the ability to work instinctively on projects and plan ahead for the needs of the client
• Organisational skills - scheduling and keeping deadlines not only personally but also for the department and client base
• Strong communication and people skills - a positive and approachable attitude directed towards maintaining both client relationships and business networks
• Flexibility in approach - working whilst under pressure to complete ad-hoc tasks without detriment to fixed work load
• Excellent attention to detail
• Self motivated
• Dependable and reliable
• Team Player
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel

Education and Qualifications
