A fantastic opportunity is available for an experienced Bookkeeper to join a small family run accountancy Practice. The successful Bookkeeper will join on a temporary basis to provide maternity cover, earning a salary of £18,000 - £20,000 per annum depending on experience.

Founded in the early 1980s, this company has successfully built a reputation for providing a professional and bespoke service to their clients. As a Bookkeeper you will join the company’s friendly and experienced team, with your main duties and responsibilities including:

• Preparing VAT returns for a variety of clients
• Recording day-to-day financial transactions
• Email and telephone accounts support
• Entering data, maintaining records, reports and financial statements

To be considered for the Bookkeeper role you must be driven and enthusiastic. The company is especially interested in speaking to candidates with experience in a similar role. In addition the following key skills and experience are essential:

• Good understanding of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Experience using SAGE 50 Accounts and/or Quickbooks
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Deadline-driven and resourceful

Additional Information

The successful Bookkeeper will begin as soon as possible, working over a 12 month period to provide maternity cover.
