Harrison Hill Castle & Co (www.harrisonhillcastle.co.uk) are currently looking for a full-time, part or fully qualified (ACCA / AAT / ACA) Accounts Assistant. Hours of work are Monday to Friday, 9am to 5.30pm. Key duties will include:
• Preparing monthly / quarterly management accounts
• Preparing quarterly VAT Returns
• Providing assistance with audit work (onsite and offsite)
• Preparing accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
• Preparing CT600’s
• Other ad-hoc projects and support for the principle
Our ideal candidate will have:
• A minimum of 2 years previous Accounts experience, preferably working for a Chartered or Certificated Accountancy practice
• Excellent organisation skills with high attention to detail and the ability to use their initiative
• Ability to prioritise workload to meet deadlines
• Working knowledge of Sage, Quickbooks, CCH Central and BTC is an advantage
• Knowledge of Self Assessment Tax is an advantage
• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Basic Microsoft Word skills
• Knowledge of payroll preparation, using Iris PAYE-Master is an advantage
• The ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing, in English.
• Full, clean UK driving licence held is an advantage as you will be required to visit clients that are not easily accessible by public
transport
