Job Description
Bookkeeper / Accounts Assistant
Salary: £18,000 - £22,000 ( Depending on experience )
Location: Redbridge, Greater London
Term: Full Time Permanent, Monday to Friday, with Saturday cover once or twice a month
Our client is a very well established Sports Club, seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join their team and work closely with their Accountant and their Treasurer.
About the role:
• Check and verify invoices/receipts, allocate and post transactions
• Maintain the filing system to ensure accurate financial records
• Reconcile Accounts and Bank statements
• Calculate, prepare and submit VAT Returns and Payroll
• Assist with Budget preparation
• Prepare and manage financial statements, including: Trial Balance, Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow
• General day-to-day administration and office support
The ideal candidate must have:
• Excellent working knowledge of QuickBooks Accounting software and Microsoft Office packages, including Word and Excel
• Excellent communication skills and the willingness to become a key member of the team
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in a similar role
• Degree level qualification preferred but not essential
