Completing assignments

Hi everyone

First time posting, I have just begun my AAT Level 2 Accounting. I am currently a self-employed builder and have been for the last 8 years, I have been wanting a career change for a while and always been interested in Business and how they work so I have been looking into accountancy for a while now. Anyway, the point being, Its been a very long time since I have had to do any studying in this form and I was just wondering about the assignments. When it comes to completing the assignments for each part of the units, do people refer back to your revision kits or is it best to do them without like you will in your final tests?
