Hello everyone
I work in a Accounting Department for an exporter of manufactured goods and have been asked about EORI numbers. I have contacted everyone I can with regard to the following question (even HMRC Customs & Excise, and Freight Forwarders) and can't get a definitive answer. All of our exports are sent by a International Parcel Company.
If the company I work for have an GB EORI number and export to the EU, do I need an EORI number that begins with a European EU country initial as well e.g. FR00000000000? Our company is based and registered in UK and has offices in other parts of the world but no other offices in Europe. We export to Northern Ireland have we have applied for the XI number.
Any help would be appreciated.
