Holiday pay rates calculation

I am in the middle of trying to calculate holiday pay. The calculation has to go back over a 52 clear weeks pay divided by hours worked to come to the holiday hourly rate. My question is, this is proving to be a complex and lengthy calculation has anyone done this calculation and how have you done it? i.e what system are you using ? Thanks Maureen
