Teachers pay

If a teacher leaves at end of April how is their final pay calculated. I don't think teachers accrue holiday pay in the normal way.

    Hi Cazmarb

I'm afraid I can't help too much but I'd imagine you'd need to find the number of days worked compared to the contract and work out the proportion already paid and what would be owed.

I know some teachers contracts are for 195 days (39 working weeks) but then the pay is spread over 12 months to keep a regular cash flow running. Id imagine in this scenario they'd be owed some of the pay that would have otherwise been paid in the summer break period.
