AAT book editions

Hello,

When I started AAT level 3, they sent me books they sent me books from 2019-2020 just as the new books for 2020-2021 came out. I emailed them saying my course may extend into 2021 and I want the new version of the books and they basically said that Kaplan confirmed that the study text books are good even into 2021 despite it not being listed.

My question is, does this apply for all years of books all the way back to 2016-2017 when AAT just moved to level AQ2016. I ask because I am wondering whether I could just buy the second hand 2017 books and for them to still be just as relevant as the new editions. What are your thoughts?
