I’ve competed AAT level 3 and half way through level 4. Initially I was planning on doing CIMA and using the exemption to jump to operational level.
I am worried that the transition from AAT is considerably harder and if I am better off doing the certificate level?
In my current role I mainly deal with accounts assistant task and concerned due to my lack of knowledge if am better starting from the first level of CIMA to gain more exposure?

Hi
Having moved from AAT to CIMA myself, taking the certificate stage exemptions, and having taught AAT and CIMA courses, I would say that you will be better prepared for the operational level of CIMA if you do the final stage of AAT.
The exams at the certificate stage of CIMA are shirt answer questions, whereas the final stage of AAT requires larger tasks. The same can be said of AAT-ACCA.2 -
Thank you. That’s reassuring to know.0
