Hi, I’m about to start studying this module but the textbooks I have state FA16 - does anyone know if the general info is still the same or should I be buying an updated version with FA20?

The big things that tend to be different are the various thresholds. The rules will be generally the same. You might be able to find a list of differences for AAT which would suit.

@MissDetail — I would not recommend doing PLTX, BSTX, or even IDRX from the wrong FA, especially one from four years ago.

At best it’s a lot of extra hassle, confusion, and affects confidence and worst you get the answers wrong. This would also relate to the ethics’ standard of keeping upto date with professional knowledge, which changes most rapidly in taxation.

In case of almost all AAT learning providers, they have individual books or courses for each assessment, purchasable individually.

Thankyou. I ended up purchasing a BPP FA2020 course book so fingers crossed it’ll do the job.
