Bookkeeper – 34 hours per week

Salary - £21,000 to £26,000 dependent on experience

Location: Stevenage

TaxAssist Accountants is part of the largest network of accountancy practices specialising in small to medium sized business clients. We provide a friendly, flexible and proactive year round service to small businesses and individual tax payers and we are now seeking to recruit an experienced Bookkeeper to join us in Stevenage.

Working as part of a small team based in the Old Town and using our superb software suite including Dext, QuickBooks and BrightPay, your key responsibilities will include:

preparation of bookkeeping for small business clients
preparation of client VAT returns
client payroll processing
dealing directly with a small portfolio of clients
This position is an excellent opportunity for a capable individual, looking for variety and responsibility, to play an integral part in the on-going development of this expanding business and interested candidates for this Bookkeeper role will be:

experienced with computerised bookkeeping (QuickBooks/Sage/Xero etc.)
experienced in practice (2 years preferred)
ideally AAT level 3 or equivalent
enthusiastic and articulate
service focused and hardworking
confident and have excellent attention to detail
flexible and prepared to just get the job done whatever it takes
