How to take the step from self employed to using VA support? Do I need AML?

I am looking at using a VA to do a few hours work for me weekly. This could be ensuring invoices are coded and in software for me to match and chasing VAT supporting documentation of which I would review and reconcile before the accountant uses the data for VAT returns and to prepare the accounts. Would this support still need to have AML? they have a good finance expertise in similar role in corporate setting but not registered with AAT. Any direction is helpful at this stage of fact finding.

Not really your concern, but I would say yes unless employed by you.0

@douglasstroud sorry why would it not be my concern if they will be doing work for clients?0

Do all your clients ask you for your MLR?
If you are engaging someone to help work with your clients then it will be under business and your own LOE, it’s down to the person you engage to make sure that they comply with MLR.0
