Hi! My partner and I are about to finish and qualify for our AAT level 3 certificates and thinking about starting some work on the side doing some bookkeeping. I just wondered if anyone had any advice or tips on how to get started, what do we need to consider and where to begin really. Many thanks, Liz

@Lizz93 Assuming you will remain a student member to do level 4, you will need a licence to practice from the AAT. You will have to have Professional Liability Insurance and register with the Information Commissioner because you are likely to hold personal information on individuals. You will also need to be pretty au-fait with the Money Laundering Regulations and what you need to do before you take on a client.
I would really recommend you take a look on the AAT website on how to begin your own practice before you jump in with both feet.0
