I see from the posts that there may be scope for guidance here

I think my comments on the exam in June may be helpful copy and paste this link
http://www.aat.co.uk/forums/messageview.cfm?catid=18&threadid=2674&highlight_key=y

I do not expect to see a process costing question this time, although something similar to 1.6 must be very likely

I do not expect a LIFO question so I'd say 60-40 in favour of FIFO (but 40% is a big chance for AVCO)

Breakeven must be worth serious consideration in section 2, as must a written explanation of the IRR method of capital investment appraisal

Look at both the previous papers for the way they are set out, but don't miss out key topics such as overhead analysis in section 1 or limiting factors in section 2.

I'm not expecting any shocks, but I recommend a comprehensive coverage of the syllabus. You need to know all the key areas afterall the exam is an NVQ assessment of knowledge and understanding.

Anyone who'd like my answer to the Jun 04 exam- email me rather than reply to this thread.
I'll know more quickly and you'll get my answer quicker

sandy.hood@chichester.ac.uk
