I qualified at level 4 in 2009 and I've been working in Accounts for 17 years at Assistant Accountant level in the same industry. I started a new job 7 months ago new industry as an Accounts Assistant which is now testing my AAT knowledge and I realise how stale it is. I don't really know whether to restudy AAT again as I took it so long ago, or start CIMA at the lowest level? Any advice would be appreciated?

    I am not too sure if you have made the decision now as this post is fairly old, my apologies for the late reply.

    Never fear of the "Stale" knowledge, it happens. As you are already AAT Qualified, you should have access to the AAT portal (see link below), unless you no longer pay for the AAT membership, if you dont pay for the membership they may stop your access I am not too sure sure. Also on Youtube there is many videos teaching accounting (See link below) if you didnt want to commit to something too long and just needed a refresher. With regards to CIMA unless you wanted to become a Chartered then fair enough I wouldn't do it just to get a top up save your money I guess. Plus to do full CIMA lets say really does require committment. If you just want a refresher I have provided links below which may help you.
