Hey, I’m sure there will be a lot of people sitting their synoptic level 4 for AEM and wondered if people that have passed can share some tips or advise on types of questions that have came up and the outcome they had based on results on that task (e.g exceeded, met etc) thanks!

Hi hope I am not too late! One thing I have learned is that Question 4 will always be based on relevant costing, so don't get caught up and think that just because it is included as a figure in the question that you need to use it. I hope that helps!

Thanks! How did everyone find the exam today for results in July?

@BeckyScoot i found it ok overall… I found the multiple choice questions on task 1 a lot harder than those in the mocks online and in the Kaplan books. It’s hard to judge on the written questions as they’re very specific so fingers crossed! How did you find yours?

@Sophie_99 Yeah the same with the first task, what did you get for task 2 and 4, I found my Task 6 was different to what id expect and was asked about non financial factors on sustainability

100% i actually felt the hardest part of the test was question 1 surprisingly. I just hope i got enough to pass. I dont know if id do another attempt or just move to INAC. Its meant to be infinitely easier.

What sorts of questions did you get for question 1 do you remember, I had items such as tactical & operational etc - Did you get anything decent for Task 2 4 & 6? I feel like I've studied so much that I get worse haha!

@BeckyScoot @FredM10 i can’t really remember what my task 1 questions were, but I remember looking at the computer thinking what on earth are some of these!
My task 2 was performance analysis and task 4 was contribution and a bit about non financial factors (not sustainability ones though). Task 6 was SWOT for me. My task 5 was laid out quite differently but ratios are one of my stronger areas so it didn’t phase me as much. You just never know with the written questions. Fingers crossed for us all
