How long does it take to receive results for L4 Synoptic (AQ2016)

The AQ2016 curriculum is being withdrawn on the 30th of September and I have yet to sit my synoptic and the 2 optional modules.
I have a very tight window in which to get in all 3 exams however I can only sit the optional units once I've pass my Synoptic so I'll need to have received my results by August, latest.
I wanted to ask those of you who have already completed this module and received your results, how long did the marking take?
And how long did the marking take for any of your optional modules?

hey, dont panic if anything you are in a better position as you will be able to move over to Q22 - Although you may need to pay additional costs to do so (Say £100 extra), only thing that will happen is if you have sat management decisions and control and Management budgeting that will merge as one result at a set 70% regardless of your gradesm however you don't need to do synoptic as its been replaced by an easier exam which is useful. Ive tried to copy and past guidance below.
The last possible AQ2016 assessment date of 30 September 2023 is getting closer. You still have the option to complete your AQ2016 qualification, but you'll need to be realistic about whether you can achieve this, given assessment marking times, synoptic assessment availability and the potential need to re-sit.
Your options are:
Register on a Q2022 qualification, which means you don’t need to renew your student membership.
Carry on studying your AQ2016 qualification, which means:
if we've reminded you to renew your student membership, you need to do so, or
if not, you can just carry on studying until we remind you to renew.
Check which qualification you're currently studying
Go to your Qualifications dashboard.
In the banner under the name of the qualification you’re studying you'll see two boxes. One will name your training provider; the other will say either 2016 or 2022. This is the version you’re studying.
Registering on a Q2022 qualification
With the short time left before 30 September 2023, the last assessment date for AQ2016, we suggest that registering on a Q2022 qualification is your best option, considering AQ2016 assessment marking times, synoptic window availability and the potential need to re-sit.
You'll be able to study and complete the assessments for the lifetime of your Q2022 qualification.
Register for the new qualification.
Fees for Qualifications 2022
For Q2022 qualifications, you pay a one-off registration fee, giving you:
access to the qualification for its lifetime, typically four to five years
access to our study support resources through the AAT Lifelong Learning Portal
the ability to sit assessments.
These fees are listed on the Qualification fees and funding options page.
If you've completed at least one assessment on your AQ2016 qualification and your AQ2016 student membership is still active, you're eligible to pay a reduced registration fee.
AQ2016 qualification Q2022 equivalent qualification Registration fee Reduced fee, if eligible
AAT Foundation Certificate in Accounting AAT Level 2 Certificate in Accounting £172 £50
AAT Advanced Diploma in Accounting AAT Level 3 Diploma in Accounting £225 £75
AAT Professional Diploma in Accounting AAT Level 4 Diploma in Professional Accounting £240 £100
Assessments you've already completed
Your results will transfer at the percentage result achieved.
There are some exceptions to this where multiple AQ2016 units are combined into one Q2022 unit, and only one percentage result can transfer. Based on the weighting of learning outcomes included in the:
Q2022 Financial Accounting: Preparing Financial Statements units, only the AQ2016 Management Accounting: Costing result will transfer
Q2022 Management Accounting Techniques unit, only the AQ2016 Management Accounting: Costing result will transfer
Q2022 Applied Management Accounting unit, and new topic areas included, the result will transfer at a pass mark only: 70%.
No AAT achievements prior to AQ2016 (AQ2010, AQ2013 NVQ) will carry over to Q2022.
Check if your completed assessments will transfer
To understand which assessments you've already achieved will transfer, use our Q2022 Transition tool.
If you prefer you can check the status for the units you've completed in the Transitional arrangements document (PDF).
Exemptions and recognition of prior learning
The option of recognition of prior learning (RPL) remains open, capped at 50% of the total assessments as per the exemption rules.
To meet the transfer requirements, you must have achieved a minimum of one assessment on Q2022. An RPL exemption on its own will not count towards meeting the transfer requirements.
RPL is not available for the Level 2 Business Environment synoptic assessment. See also the Exemptions and recognition of prior learning page.
External exemptions, as defined in the exemptions list and policy, will be applied. This means exemptions are capped at 50% of the total number of assessments, and as such, only a minimum pass mark of 70% can be achieved when the result is recorded.
The combination of RPL and exemptions must not exceed 50% of the total number of assessments (if there are an odd number of assessments, round up).
If you’ve failed an assessment, RPL or exemption applications will not be available for a period of two years from the date of the failed assessment.
Carrying on with your AQ2016 qualification
There’s not a lot of time left to complete your current qualification: the final date on which you can sit an assessment is 30 September 2023.
Even if you only have two or one assessments remaining on AQ2016, please keep in mind assessment marking times, synoptic assessment availability and the potential need to re-sit when planning your next steps.
If we've reminded you to renew your student membership
To continue studying this qualification your membership must be active, so if we've reminded you by email or on your dashboard, you need to renew your student membership.
This will give you access to the AQ2016 qualifications until 30 September 2023, the last assessment date and withdrawal date for the qualification.
If we haven't reminded you, you can carry on studying until we remind you to renew.
MAATs and AATQBs
If you’ve progressed to AATQB or MAAT status and received communications to renew your student membership, you can pay the student membership fee and still retain your professional membership (as opposed to paying the professional membership fees).
Next year you'll need to pay the professional membership fee to retain your professional membership.
When you no longer need your student membership
You no longer need your student membership if:
you’ve already registered on a Q2022 qualification
you’ve been told by your training provider you’re now studying Q2022
you’re planning to register on a Q2022 qualification.
You will still receive renewal communications from us and see the renewal banner on your MyAAT dashboard, but you can ignore these.
Still not sure what you need to do?
If you’re still not sure what option is best for you, we recommend you speak to your training provider. They know what version of the qualification you’re studying and your progress, and so will be able to recommend what your best option is.0
