FAPSTbf, I did get the highest in that.
The accruals and prepayments are hard for some people.
Add anything here that you are stuck on.0 -
MATSSame as anony123, I got 88% for FAPS, which is worth 40% of the overall grade.
However, there is sooo much to remember in terms of MATS, that I'd say it warrants more than the 30% worth it currently has.
Personally, I would restructure BUAW & TPFB as 20% each, and MATS & FAPS as 30% each, because all of them have a lot to remember!
I've done the three, and currently studying for Tax... trying to remember all the penalties is slightly head-wrecking haha!0 -

I found FAPS the hardest by far even though I got 81%. The Management Techniques were good for me with 90, and the business awareness with 80.
Again, I failed tax first time with 67. Just remember all the content is one the system and you can view it at once. If you have done the practice assessments you will know what I mean. Just remember there is not a surcharge on the first go a business misses the deadline which I didn’t even understand.
Bro, if you need more help message the chat or me directly.
Good luck; when is your exam?0 -
FAPSYou don’t need to memorise any of the info, it is all there. The question will be given in a different scenario but you just have to interpret it with the information provided.
The fuel scale charge was different as our teacher said to always divide by 6 which was incorrect, and not always.0 -
BUAWBusiness Awareness is a tough one it seems0

FAPSBusiness Awareness was fine for me even though only 2 passed in our class of like 25. The hardest me me without a doubt was preparing finically statements.
The thing is I don’t understand how the practice assessment papers are so more easier and more simple than the actual exams and that’s bizarre for me.0 -
MATS@anony123
See, I was the opposite - I got 90% on business, 81% on management, and 88% on Financial statements.
I think there were only 5 out of ~40 of us that failed business, and by their own admission, it's because they didn't study enough.
On the tax exam, do you actually get all the reference material in the resources that you have on the AAT practice exams, or just an extract, like the fuel scales? It seems strange that they would give us all the answers
I also love that it says on the AAT site that the practice exams are not find out if you're exam ready surely that's the point?!0 -
FAPSPretty much everything is on the tax, because they said it is so complicated. I think the fuel scale charge is pretty easy, the thing that I find difficult is the tax point considering that I did it nearly a year ago.
Anybody able to explain it?
I remember our teacher saying find payment Vat invoice and something else. I remember a 14 day rule as well. Looked at some yt videos as well but they make it way to complicated for me.0
