Impact:
We are looking for a great Senior Finance Assistant to join our Finance Team!
Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role will be critical in ensuring the smooth financial operations of 5 entities, contributing to increased efficiency and accuracy. Whilst the position has no line management duties, the SFA will need to foster a great working relationship with our existing Finance Assistant. This role demands a well-rounded individual with a strong work ethic and a can-do attitude.
We’re on the look out for a willingness to collaborate, excellent communication skills, proactivity and a keen eye for process improvement. With support and training, the right candidate will be able to perform to a high standard and reach beyond their core responsibilities.
Our accounts are currently processed using Aqilla and Xero. Whilst previous experience of these packages or any of our platforms would be useful, it’s not essential, as we would expect to provide training for the right candidate.
Key Qualities:
The SFA will be able to operate seamlessly across various entities and be able to communicate effectively, with stakeholders at all levels within the organisation. They will have excellent numerical and administrative skills and be highly organised with their time. The ability to problem solve logically would see them in good stead.
Behaviours:
This individual possesses great attention to detail and a genuine passion for numbers, They’ll also demonstrate enthusiasm for efficient operations and being able to input data accurately. Moreover, their alignment with AEI's core values reflects a shared commitment to the organisation's principles, fostering a cohesive and values-driven work environment.
Skills/ Knowledge/ Qualifications:
Proficient in the use of both Microsoft Excel and G-Suite
Prior experience of using Aqilla and/ or Xero would be beneficial
Minimum 5 years experience working in a similar Finance Assistant/ Bookkeeper/ Accounts Administrator role
Minimum education to A Level standard
Role outcomes:
The SFA will need to be proactive from the onset and quickly develop a working knowledge of the entities and data input processes involved. They’ll showcase a commitment to a rapid and thorough understanding of the operational landscape and a desire to contribute positively.
