Capitalising Labour manufacturing in the uk

Hi, apologise for daft question but I work for a manufacturing company and we capitalise our Labour cost. It is my first role in this sector and I am struggling to get my head around it. Thank you

    This is something of an odd one. I would only capitalise labour on fixed assets items ie machine building etc.
    What sector are you working in.
