Dynamic role has arisen at Eagle Eye Drama for an Assistant Accountant to support multiple television series productions, including Professor T, Patience and Bookish. We are a fast-growing company with a vibrant team that has many collective years of experience within the television industry, and are currently working with various television broadcasters, including ITV, Channel 4 and PBS.

Responsibilities include (but is not limited to):

Sales
- Setting up invoice templates
- Checking contracts and updating sales tracker
- Working closely with the Legal, Production and Post-Production teams to send sales invoices in a timely manner

Payments
- Processing invoices and expenses
- Entering invoices to be paid on the BACS run

Purchase orders
- Setting up and updating workflow in Approval Max
- Managing purchase orders in Xero
- Checking purchase orders against purchase invoices received

Bank reconciliation
- Reconciling Equals cards and production floats
- Bank reconciliations for multi-currency accounts

Payroll
- Setting up payroll and pension for new entities
- Setting up payroll tracker
- Work with production to gather and maintain appropriate paperwork
- Checking weekly/monthly timesheets against contracts
- Calculating overtime, additional working hours, deductions or contributions
- Preparing weekly/monthly cast and crew payroll sheet
- Answering agent queries
- Posting payroll journals into Xero

Other
- Managing multiple production inboxes
- Registering entities for VAT, PAYE, Pension, Withholding tax and Equals
- Applying for certificates of residence and completing relevant withholding tax forms
- Updating Xero with company information and uploading Chart of Accounts for new entities
- Any other ad hoc tasks as required

Essential qualities:

- Strong attention to detail and level of accuracy
- Good communication and time management skills
- Working to strict month end deadlines
- Basic Excel skills
- Experience using Xero accounting software
- Basic VAT knowledge
- Willingness to learn how to calculate cast and crew payroll (prior experience with cast and crew payroll is a bonus)

Desirable qualities:

- Experience within the television production industry
- Previous experience working with Team Engine software
- Previous experience working with Approval Max or a similar PO system
- Experience using Barclays.net


You will be working with the Production Accounts Manager across multiple television productions as well as liaising with the Accounts Assistant in the Eagle Eye Drama corporate team, so reliability and flexibility is a must.


Two references from your last two employers will be required.
