I have been revising all old papers for Unit 8, variances and forecasts etc but as there are new standards, does that mean loads of new questions will be asked and what will they be about?

help now in panic!
Basically what the AAT do is to try and keep as uptodate as possible with the standards. If you decide to go on to further professional qualifications when you pass AAT you may be awarded exemptions. AAT have to keep their syllabus up to date for the other professional bodies to be able to offer the exemptions.

You should find that if the AAT are transferring old standards onto a new standard that they will offer students the opportunity to continue to study for the "old" standards up to a set deadline (I think it is about 12 months). This means that the syllabus content should not alter dramatically. However, the AAT do tell you on your examination docket if they are going to examine a subject on new standards. Even so, if you have been studying the old standards the underlying (and fundamental) theories should still be present.

I would not panic if I was you - standards change over a period of time and if you've been working from up to date text books/material you won't have a problem.

Good luck!!!!0
