DFS tomorrow

Just wondered if anyone had any clues or ideas about tomorrow's paper? Or any tips or advice on how to handle the DFS papers?

    Well I have a horrible feeling that STRGL will turn up and the ASB etc ..................only because they weren't in June's paper.<BR><BR>As for handling the paper...................just read each question and pray like mad that we can answer it! I have done lots of practise and read like mad but still feel like I know nothing. And will probably throw up in the morning like I ususally do!<BR><BR>GOOD LUCK

    Hi<BR><BR>One thing I've learnt from doing practice tasks etc, is to make sure you take full notice of the 'Additional Information' they give to go with the task.

    Just had another thought..............if yesterday's exam was really bad (well section 2) then possible our exam will be bad too.<BR>Is it just me or does DFS seem so complicated?

    Thanks Neil. I know what you mean about the additional bits - this is actually a resit for me as I failed section 2 in June and having had answers from my tutuor can see why. Terrified I'll fail agaion and looking at my notes now - they all seem a blank, can't even remember how to calculate MI and that was a breeze last time.

    this is the thing with the new bloke writing papers, we really dont know what will be in the paper (suppose same would apply to the other guy writing the paper too).<BR><BR>If you have done previous papers and can cope with the examples in the books then I would say you are ready.<BR><BR>I didn't find DFS too complicated as Consolidated BS and P&L follow a layout, journals are ok, Cash Flow Statements again have a set procedure. So its just the ratios and FRSs that cause problems as you have to back up with written answers.<BR><BR>Try not to panic, and read it all carefully I think is the advice I would give :)<BR><BR>Good luck<BR>Mandy

    Thanks Mandy. I do feel for those who study from home as my college doesn't do DFS until Jan so I've had to revise by myself. A good friend has helped by testing me though but I still feel as though my brain is a sieve................<BR><BR>Shall we have a collective booze session tomorrow afternoon?!

    Hey after the past two days of hell I would just say good luck and hope for any question you can at least answer, ..............I'm holding out for a miracle done PEV and BTC this week and they were HORRIBLE!!!!!! Good luck to everyone tomorrow.
