I couldn't help but notice the amount of people who, like me seemed to struggle with task 2.2 in particular of the PEV exam.

I spoke to the AAT and they said that by receiving student feedback on problem tasks, it could change how they mark them particular parts of the exam, plus they take in this information for when they set future exams.

If anyone feels it was not a particularly fair section 2, it may be worth phoning, emailing or writing to the AAT to let them know.

It was reassuring to know that I was not the only one who was unhappy about Task 2 of PEV. So I will be contacting AAT too. Thanks for the advice.

Do they have a feedback form to fill out or do you just put your comments into a email?

I do think that if they are going to set this type of task again, they should provide a bit more information in the paper.

Regards

I agree, the section section was quite different from past exams, and I do not think we were prepared for the amount of detail that was asked for. It was quite difficult to answer this paper under exam conditions, I felt panic when I read the exam paper, and felt it affected the whole exam because you were constantly worrying about section2 whilst answering section 1.

I also felt Task 1.3 was particularly long given that you had so much to do for section 2.

I will be contacting AAT and hope other students will do the same

I totally agree...... i thought it was only me that felt like this, the question totally put me off. I managed all the other questions but think i may fail because of task 2.2, i found myself waffaling on about a load of old tosh because i didnt really know what information they were looking to get out of me! i was really angry when i left the exam coz i've put so much work into studying and i'm sure that question will fail me. Congrats to those who have no more exams and good luck to this that still have some to do :O)

I also agree, section 2 left me panicking, i dont think it was explained very well as to what they really wanted so ended up writing what i think they wanted but didn't know if it was ( if you get that ). I also think it was a bit unfair to have thinks in the exam that haven't been covered in the syllabus, (has anyone covered this part of the paper in lessons) especially when you are under enough pressure due to the exam without having the extra pressure of looking at a question and thinking where did that come from. I also didn't have enough time to finish the exam which was like a number of other students at the same centre and this is the first exam i have sat with AAT that everybody was still there at the end, normally everyone has finished and gone within 2 hours, that alone must say how difficult it was.

I will also be emailing my comments to AAT

Good luck to everyone sitting Thursdays exam

Me too. I just sent my comments to AAT as well. It is very unfair for us, I did loads of past papers of PEV, but I dare say I would never have seem any questions like what we did this time.

I am going to take PCR this Thursday morning, I don't know where to start to do revision, how could we know what sorts of stranger questions we are going to get, horrible!

Anyway good luck to every one.

Yanlingw
