Hi all,

A big goodluck to everyone who still has exams to sit.

I'm sitting the PCR exam tomorrow morning and am after any advice. Have spent most of my time revising for the unit 8 exam so dont feel like i know much for this one!

I feel ok about preparing the budgets and am just getting to grips with doing the flexed budget statement - was wondering if anyone has any advice on anything else i should cover.

Thanks.

And good luck again!

Claire x

    Hey Claire

Well I think the best advice is to practise your heart out as with any of the AAT stuff. Flexed budgets tend to have a set format:

Variable Costs - usually materials and labour
Semi Variable Costs - water & LH&P
(sometimes) Stepped Costs - maintenance & (sometimes) labour
Fixed Costs - Depreciation, Overheads

There could be little ones like general expenses, distribution costs, admin expenses but generally they will indicate where they should be.

If its any help the operating profit variance will be the same as all the other variances added up (minus for adverse, plus for favourable)

I hope this helps you

Good luck for tomorrow, I'm sitting it too :)

Mandy
- x -

Thanks for that. Have to say my usual technique is to keep going over past papers - know them like the back of my hand and then (like mondays unit 8) they chuck in something completley new!!

Have decided thats enough for tonight now. Gonna veg infront of corrie!!

Good luck for tomorrow

Claire x
