Does anybody know what marks you need to get for each section of the paper to pass and what marks are allocated to each question?

I'm not to sure about how it is marked but i dont think that there are set marks for each question,

Its just to show the marker that you are compitent in them areas

no percentages are given out its just

PASS or FAIL

but if there is a marking scheme i would like to see it

Keiron
Basily you have to show that you are competent in both sections of the exam. There is no pass mark set before the exam becasue if everyone in the country does bad in one section they lower the pass mark for that section.

You could pass section one with 100% and still fail if you don't get enough marks in section 2. I think the overall pass mark was about 74% for the paper in June. My memory is not that good though so have a look on the website, it tells you on there for past papers.

I asked AAT for my percentage when i passed foundation because my thinking was...if I scraped through then I really need to work hard at intermediate level....

They replied saying they do not give out percentages its just successful or unsuccessful which was not much help...!

They also said that its about competence....if you was in a work situation and only got 40% of your job right then that is not a good thing...they base the marking structure around this scenario.

hope that helps
