    i cant remember what i put in the formulas but did you use 180000 for the stepped maintenance costs for 85000 yorkes.

    I thought section 1 was time consuming and, I think previous exams have been easier than this one today. Fancy putting linear regression in the exam! <BR><BR>It was a bit tricky, and the tutorials do not equip you for this type of question. Well, mine don't anyway, being a distance learning student.<BR><BR>I have the ability to do the work and have had no problems with past papers etc, then I sit the exam today and feel so dense afterwards. <BR><BR><BR><BR>

    same here for the stepped maintenance. that bit is definitely right...<BR><BR>i was a bit surprised to see the formula question in there, i don't remember our lecturer ever mentioning that to us, so i put something like (can't quite remember the cells references)<BR>=b1+(b5*b6)<BR>=b1+(b5*(b6+c7-b7))<BR>=b7+b6<BR>=c7+c6<BR>

    Hey NF that is exactly what i did,i used £2.00<BR>it seems everyone got 180000 but i got 170000<BR>

    Hi<BR><BR>I got 180,000 because i rounded up to 90,000 yorkers - only because i remembered i had to do something like that in a past paper but now im wondering if that was in a completely different context. aaahhh im worried now since reading what everyone done, especially with the idle hours - i just used total available hours - the 40employees x 35hrs x 4weeks..........if im remembering the figures correctly, im soooo nervous now!! panicing but its over with and too late if its wrong.<BR><BR>cant beleive we need to wait so long for results.<BR>

    hey NF and aaliyah,<BR><BR>I got the same thing 170 instead of 180! i remember the £2.00 i used.<BR><BR>im not sure but i think at the end i got 25 (a)<BR><BR>every1 else seemed to get 35 (a)<BR><BR>but i dont remember properly.<BR><BR>Anyway just have to wait till feb!<BR><BR>Goran

    Hi Peeps<BR><BR>Regarding the maintenance costs - I got £170k - just wanted to say dont worry to whoever got either cost as long as you justified or showed clear working how you got there I'm sure it will be fine.<BR><BR>I dont remember it saying that for every £20k they produced 10,000 yorkies and that was the only way it worked i.e. you couldn't just put £10k in and make 5000 yorkies. Guess its down to the interpretation!<BR><BR>Not to worry. Overall I thought both of the papers were ok - not great but not too many terrile surprises!<BR><BR>Doubt I passed though! Well Merry Christmas everyone!
