are there any full time intermediate courses?

    Hi

In the area I live there are no full time Intermediate courses. There isn't really much need as the course is not heavy enough if spread over a year - and most people study while working (either 1 day or spread over 2 evenings per week). If you want to study more intensively I guess distance learning might be the way to go.

Some colleges run a 2yr full time AAT course which consists of Foundation and some Intermediate level in yr1 and finishing Intermediate and Technician in yr2. I was originally interested in a full time course but it turned out that my local college simply adds the Foundation day course to the Intermediate day course with some basic skills (English + Maths) tacked on to make up the full time hours. The full time course is provided as an alternative to A Levels for 16-17 year olds. So instead I am enrolled on the 2 separate part time day courses doing Foundation and Intermediate levels at the same time to get them done asap. Then I'll do Technician level in the evenings next year so that I'll be able to work full time too.

The best thing to do would be to contact your local colleges for prospectuses and ask to speak to their AAT course co-ordinators to find out exactly how the courses are organised.

Hope this helps.

Seren
