I am due to sit these exams in June (8 & 9) and after reading the threads from the December exam there seemed to be a lot of disatisfied students. Could anybody that sat these exams in December or June last year let me know what was in the paper that was so surprising to you and what you didn't expect.

I sat the ECR last June and luckily passed but that paper was such a surprise to me that I don't want to be put in that situation again. I know that in exams there are bound to be questions that challenge you but the papers being sat recently seem so different to the past papers that it hard to guage what the exam is going to be like.

Thanks to anyone with information.

Units 8 & 9 Exams
Hi.

We sat PCR in December and i don't remember any surprises- it was pretty much what we'd practised in class. It depends on what you've covered though.

I know what you mean about ECR, but at least with 8 & 9 there are past papers to practise.

Scott.0 -
Units 8 & 9 Exams
Hi

I sat both these exams in December, It was PEV which I found to be a nightmare, section two mainly. You had to compare performances for two factories and then complete a revised P & L, based on one of these factories closing. Nothing like it had been covered in any of my books (i do the course by distance learning) or in any past papers. I just went to pieces. There was also two memos to write , one in each section, which was just too much to do in the time allowed.

The other exam I found to be as expected and in line with past papers.

Hope this helps
0
