Have just had my results and passed PEV but failed PCR!!! Am v. gutted but would like to know what I failed on. As this is the first time I have failed I contacted AAT to ask them how I can find out what I had failed on or my %. The person I spoke to was down right rude and basically said there was no way of me finding this out. I asked them what the pass rate was or when this would be published - again just a snotty reply that they didn't know. Fair enough they will be getting a lot of calls today but there was no need for that kind of response.I'm angry with myself anyway for failing but at least if I knew where I'd fail or how under the pass rate I was it would help me for the next sitting in June. Cheers for the rant!!

You can find out about your results - I did when I failed PEV in June.

You need to appeal against the result (think you can do this by e-mailing the AAT) and they will give you a form to complete. This will cost you - if I remember correctly it was either £30 or £37 (but you do get this money back if they change your mark and pass you), they will then remark your paper and will send you a letter with your revised result (although don't get your hopes up, it is unusual to get your result changed) and a breakdown of how you performed in the paper and where you went wrong.

You won't find out your mark or % - but at least it gives you an idea if you failed the paper completely or just need to revise a few bits.

Hope that helps - and good luck for June

Thanks for your replies. I don't think I'll be appealing as it's my fault I failed. However, I do think that students should have a chance (FOC) to see where they might have gone wrong or where their weaknesses lie. Even if I spoke to my tutor about it - he wouldn't be able to tell me where I went wrong because I can't actually remember what I put for each individual answer! and I felt as though the exam was quite easy.

Also I refuse to pay the AAT any more money than what I'm going to have to pay to re-sit the exam and the amount we have to pay for membership should cover the cost of them telling us where we have gone wrong anyway!!
